Braille Reading Teacher

You must be proficient and comfortable in the reading and teaching of the UEB Literary code

Braille Writing Teacher

You must be proficient and comfortable in the writing and teaching of the UEB Literary code with a slate-n-stylus, a Perkins Braillewriter, and a braille display

Nemeth & Tactile Graphics Teacher

You must be proficient and comfortable in the reading/writing and teaching of the Nemeth code for mathematics for various skills from preschool though 9th grade

Technology Teacher

You must be proficient and comfortable in the use and teaching of various assistive technology needs for ages 4-14 (e.g. typing, JAWS, VoiceOver, braille displays, braille notetakers, office and google apps)

Daily Living Skills Teacher

You must be proficient and comfortable in your nonvisual skills and teaching of cooking, cleaning, and organization for expectations for 4-14 year old students

Travel Instructor

You must hold an NOMC and be able to teach using a long white cane and learning shades

Child-Specific Helper

You must be feeling to help a student who needs additional support throughout the day in their classes to be successful

Class Assistant

You must be willing to assist the lead teaher in presenting content

Dorm Mom/Dad

You are expected to stay overnight with students and provide for their needs

Nurse

You must hold a current certification and be willing to care for children with basic first aide, as well as administering medications and shots

Bus Driver

You must hold a current CDL

Cook

Be willing to prepare snacks and meals as needed for the program

Games Leader

Plan and execute groups games for students--both whole group and small group

Field Trip and Events Volunteer

Willing to assist as needed with afternoon and evening events
